THE GREEK PHILOSOPHER PLATO DEFINES EIDOS IN HIS THEORY OF FORMS AS THE ABSTRACT, PERFECT, UNCHANGING CONCEPTS OR IDEALS THAT TRANSCEND TIME AND SPACE.

THESE FORMS ARE THE TRUE IDEAL OF WHAT AN OBJECT IS.

THE CREATIVE ENDEAVOR OF DOMINIC REILLY.

AT EIDOS WE DRAW INSPIRATION FROM THE ABSTRACT FORMS OF OUR UNIVERSE TO CREATE ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, PHOTOGRAPHY, ART, AND MORE.

I am an architectural designer specializing in bamboo structures, combining parametric design, environmental analysis, and hands-on construction experience. My academic work focused on developing geometrically advanced bamboo building systems using Rhino/Grasshopper as both an analytical and generative design tool by linking structural logic, material behavior, and site-specific data.

I have strong experience in site and environmental analysis, translating climate, topography, and construction constraints into buildable design strategies. To streamline bamboo workflows, I developed Macaque, a custom Grasshopper plugin focused on efficient bamboo modeling, bundling logic, and constructability.

Through my internship with Pablo Luna Studio, I gained a deep understanding of bamboo structural systems, detailing, and on-site construction processes, working closely with builders and craftsmen. I later applied this knowledge to manage the construction of a bamboo project in Koh Phangan, Thailand, bridging the gap between parametric design intent and real-world execution.

I am currently on site in Southeast Asia, actively involved in bamboo construction and contributing to a bamboo bridge project in Langkawi, Malaysia, with a focus on structural coordination, detailing, and adaptive problem-solving during construction.
